One of my goal's this year was to run in the Folsom Turkey Trot 10km event. I have been steadily running about three times a week for six months, hoping to be in good enough shape to run that distance. As some of you already know, I am NOT a natural born runner! I have a hard time going long distances, and have always been a natural sprinter. Two of my friends, Kaci and Tracy, ran with me, and that made the time go by so much faster. We all had a great time, and I ran the 10km in 1 hour and 8 minutes. What's next? Maybe a half-marathon...

Crepes for Travis's birthday
For Trav's birthday this year, we went to a place called Mirabelle's Crepery. It sure was yummy! Trav had a chicken pesto crepe, the kiddos had turkey and cheese crepes, and I had a smoked salmon and goat cheese crepe. THEN, for dessert we had nutella crepes with whipped cream, and bananas.
I think we all know which ones were Hannah's favorite!
Ice Skating Fun
This year Travis took one week off during the Thanksgiving holiday. We had a great time ice skating, going to a kid's art museum, and just lounging around at home in our pajamas. When we asked everybody what was their favorite part of daddy's time off, we all agreed that it was the ice skating. When Travis and I first went on the ice, we thought we had forgotten how to ice skate! Thankfully, it came back to us pretty quickly.
The kids pushed around these plastic containers, and it really helped them balance on the ice. Here's Andrew sporting his super cute owl hat that a friend made for him.
Both Travis and I were super impressed by Hannah on the ice. By the end of our visit, she was ice skating all by herself around the rink. Go Hannah!
We all had a great time, and hopefully we can go ice skating again before it melts!
